Framing Complete
Mar 30, 2001

The framing is finally done with the stairway work completing the job. The framing, HVAC, and electrical inspectors all gave their approvals for the rough work paving way for the insulation and drywall work to begin next week.
This will be my final weekend to get any final in-the-wall work done. I still want to add a few more cables to finish off my structured cabling, including running some RG-6 cable to where I expect to put a satellite dish eventually. I also need to finish work on a new condensate drain for the air conditioner coil, but I need a big masonry drill bit for this since I have to drill a hole for the 3/4" PVC pipe where it needs to go through a concrete block wall.
For some reason, the HVAC guys (some time ago) installed a condensate pump to evacuate the water. Since the A/C A-coil drain is above ground level a few feet down the wall, I can use a gravity drain instead. I figure this is much less likely to eventually stop working and result in another basement flood. I plan to leave the condensate pump in place as a backup.
