HVAC Rough Begins

Construction began today. Steve (Impressive Improvements) is finishing up the demolition and sealing the concrete block walls with Dry-Lok. He is also getting the framing started along the back wall. HVAC and initial plumbing work are scheduled for next week, and electrical work for the following week.

The HVAC rework for the basement began today. We are going with a zoned system so our current unit can handle both the main floor and basement. Looks like I'll need another thermostat. The zoning sysem can handle up to three zones, but we are only installing two: one for the basement and one for the main floor. If it turns out that we need a separate one for the theater, we can add it easily by putting in a thermostat. We sized the bypass and put the theater on its own motorized damper to prepare for this contingency.
