Furniture Arrives

The parts for the XG-1100 are still not here. But the furniture is! The appearance of the theater is pretty much complete, and everything is working just fine. I have tweaked the GP-3000 and it's producing a good picture, but I think I need to have it calibrated by an expert. I'm also thinking about adding a theater equalizer and having the sound calibrated as well.
The HTPC has calmed down and now has very few glitches. I had to switch to Windoze ME, but now I have reliable digital sound with the ATI DVD player and WinDVD. I also set up some custom resolutions and timings that seem to work better with the widescreen format.
I'm still working on getting my Pronto programmed so everything works together and is easy to control. I'll get to that.

Wow, who ever knew that it would take this long to get the theater done?
The parts I need for the XG-1100 are not available anywhere in the world, and never will be. Apparently people are not supposed to lose these particular brackets, so NEC made no provision to have any available after the projectors were discontinued. That's a bummer. So just as I was beginning to think I would be using the GP-3000 forever, another solution appeared.
A fellow member of the AVS Forum (an invaluable source of information) offered to try to make me a set out of cast aluminum. He happens to have the same model projector currently apart in pieces for maintenance of his own. So far the first attempt has produced a good copy that will most likely work just fine. The remaining brackets are on their way. So now I'm again working on completing a set of tubes so I can get my 1100 working. This is progress!
